ABSTRACT
Objective: to demonstrate effectiveness of intervention of the �Baby Think Over� Program in changes of attitude during pregnancy in school adolescents. Material and methods: research quasi-experimental in 42 adolescents of the second year of high school divided into two groups: experimental (intervention) and control. Descriptive statistics and Mann-Whitney-Wilcoxon tests with a significance of p�0.05 were used. Results:in the experimental group it was observed an increase in the percentage of teenagers who would like to have a child at the end of the high school (p�0.0001) and a decrease of those who would like to have a child at the end of the Bachelor�s degree (p�0.005), the same thing happened in the control group. An increase was also presented in the perception that the family would share with them the care of the baby (p�0.05), and that their family would gladly help them in calming the baby if he/she cried, pre and post-intervention (p�0.05). It was not found any statistical significance in the rest of the variables that assessed the impact on economic, emotional, social and academic life of adolescents and their families, or change in the attitudes of teens before pregnancy. Conclusion: intervention of the �Baby Think Over� program did not demonstrate effectiveness in the change of attitudes towards pregnancy in adolescents.
